the child

(no subject)

I do not , indeed, comprehend the nature of our present conundrum.

A gentleman of questionable repute has seen fit to forfeit the gentle fortunes of several kind ladies.

The gentleman mayhap forgets that the done thing concerns etiquette and the proper virtues, in lack of both abandon and exaggeration.

Perhaps the gentleman in question need be reminded that there are things, certain things, simple things that do not elude him. Mementos, or judgments.

...all gentlemen dream.

Mesdames et Monsieurs,

It saddens me greatly to interrupt your romantic interludes, but I alas feel the announcement and subsequent request to be dutifully necessary:

The MINOR, Corinthian is to pray not be engaged in any erotic intercourse, either presently or hereon.

While at it, it would serve the greater good if we could all perhaps safeguard his delicate, childish sensibilities and protect him from exposure to either distinctly unsavoury vernacular, or events desirous of a mature comprehension.

If it pleases the fair residents of the City, please consider a child's welfare and integrity. I shall naturally affirm a stricter measure of control over his custody, hereon. Do feel at all liberties to express all the sorrows he has provoked unto thee, in the past, so that we may see to their proper rectification.

A good evening to you, otherwise.

shucks

Last there were holes in my body, the Lord was excruciatingly detained for tea.

Oh dear. There goes an eye.

...better make haste with a pot.

[ ooc : as Morpheus and Daniel's . Er. Meadow, and therefore place, it can be assumed that he would be. Um. In holes.]

Mesdames et Monsieurs,

I am humbly without.

It would appear that an initial reliance upon the extended benevolence of an old acquaintance would have me contending a most vexing predicament. Certainly, it is my gravely mistaken appreciation of human nature at fault: the young need neither protection, nor counsel in this new era, least of all a haggard excuse of an old man to impose upon their time.

I am naturally to be blamed for having made the appeal. It was not my place.

In spite of this, I find myself in need of a few moments' rest to collect my thoughts and affairs. If there are those of such kindness as to either afford me a modest lodging, or perhaps additional details in regard to this place - well, suffice to say, their assistance would not go amiss.

Apologies, Corinthian. Far from me to intrude. Please return to your daily acts of unblemished intercourse, and may the Dream Lord hold you in his grace.

[ ooc : oh yeah, guilt trip galore. Someone take pity on the elderly gentleman and his ancient verbosity? ]
